Shadow is a happy little senior (12 years young!) who loves his walks and spending time with people. He walks well on leash and is not reactive when he runs across other dogs or the many small animals that live around the shelter. He does not like other dogs, but we do not know how he'd be with cats. He has cataracts, but they don't seem to get in his way at all. He also had a very yucky mouth when he came to us, and now is the proud owner of just one tooth! Dentals in the "wild" are very expensive, so it's a nice perk that his is already completed! This senior guy has a ton of pep in his step and is ready to share in your family's adventures for many years to come! We do NOT respond to PetFinder inquires; we only respond to emails sent to adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org regarding adoption inquires. We never know how quickly a pet will be adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in a pet but want to see them during our shelter open hours prior to filling out an application, we strongly recommend that you email us at adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org before visiting the shelter to ensure they are still there. Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10am-2pm for you to come view our adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during our open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need. Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and we’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
