Avery is a rare blend—a 6-year-old Boxer and Beagle mix who stands out for her sharp mind and active streak. Her energy never feels out of control, and she always seems attuned to her people. She’s quick to pick up on new routines, loves a challenge, but craves simplicity and affection more than anything. Years of good training are obvious: she’s house and crate trained, has great recall, and walking her on leash is painless. If you need a confidante, Avery’s the sort who’ll claim the best spot on the couch and stay there—blanket, pillow, and maybe you, too. She lights up at the prospect of outdoor activities—car rides, camping, hiking, even boat fishing. At home, though, she prefers the company of humans rather than other animals.
