Hi my name is Olive, if you see me you'll understand why I’ve got my name. I'm a very slender girl as I am a bird dog bully mix or maybe bird dog lab mix, they're not really sure! I love to keep my nose to the ground and I love to run, I am very fast, I have long legs and I'm very playful! I love everybody & I get along with most dogs. However I don't like female dogs that try to dominate me or show dominance over me, but I think that's normal for most. I like children & I like being shown love and affection! I will chase a ball though I’m not the best at bringing it back. I love running, it’s my favorite when the employees here at the rescue play and run with me in the yard! I am very fast - I have a huge yard that I play in here so that helps me to burn my energy. I'm great in a crate and I love my bed in the crate. The crate is a place of safety for me so I'm quiet, however when I'm hungry or I need to go out to go potty I do have a loud bark. I think that's part of the bird dog in me or at least that's what I'm told. l am currently nine years old and I have been at the rescue for six years. I did have the opportunity at a home one time but sadly they had a little 5 LB dog that they were afraid I might would accidentally harm so they just did not think that I was a good fit. The children loved me though! I love to go for walks & I'm great on a leash, I do not pull or drag. I love car rides, I love going places, especially going to the vet because I get to see new people there! New people show me attention & affection - that's one of my favorite things in the world! I can entertain myself in the yard as long as I have space to run or get to go on runs or walks every day. That’s pure adventure and fun for me, probably thanks to my bird dog roots! My ears are a little quirky-looking, but people seem to adore them and consider them one of my best features.
