LC Canine Co does not take responsibility for this dog or its actions. Bob is an 8-year-and-8-month-old male Lab Retriever mix, born June 1, 2017, and weighing approximately 75 pounds. He is a sweet, loving, gentle, and loyal dog who has spent his life being a devoted companion. Bob has soulful eyes that perfectly match the warm color of his coat, and his expressive facial features and calm demeanor make him incredibly endearing. He has a way of looking at you that makes it feel like he is truly trying to understand you. Bob enjoys simple pleasures such as car rides, walks, squeaky toys, and playing fetch. When he bonds with someone, he becomes very attached and prefers to be near his person as much as possible. He shows affection by laying next to or on his person, getting excited when it is time to go somewhere, and eagerly sharing in daily life. He has primarily been an indoor dog and would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely enjoy outdoor time and have room to move around. He does well with both men and women. His comfort level with small children and other animals is unknown, so adopters should be prepared to use care and slow introductions. Bob has a medium energy level and is fully house trained. He is not a fan of crate training and is still learning proper leash manners. He loves car rides and is generally a quiet dog. He may bark when someone comes to the door, when people or vehicles pass by, or when sitting in a parked car, but this behavior is not excessive and appears to be protective in nature. Bob does not follow a strict daily routine and is easygoing, going with the flow of the household. He eats dry food free-choice, is let outside several times a day, and knows when it is bedtime, sleeping with his person each night. Bob knows basic commands including sit, shake, lie down, and fetch. He responds well to correction and redirection and excels at being a loyal and loving companion. He does have a fear of loud noises such as fireworks, thunder, lightning, and gunshots. During these events, he may pace, tremble, or hide and will need reassurance and a safe, quiet space to help him feel secure. Bob has been loved since he was a puppy and has grown into an awesome dog. One of his favorite things is a very special toy: a Mr. Bill dog toy from Saturday Night Live that says "Ohhh Nooooo." He loves it so much that his owner buys extras whenever she sees them, just to be sure Bob always has one. With love, patience, and attention, Bob will be a devoted, affectionate, and fun companion to the person who welcomes him into their home.
