About Tigger Como Texas

Tigger Como Texas needs a new home due to his family's serious health crises and overwhelming caregiving responsibilities. At about 8 years old, he’s still in his prime—healthy, active, and not considered a senior yet. Tigger is a large, short-coated Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who’s looking for either a committed foster or adopter; transport options can be discussed for the right fit. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and kept current on preventatives, with a history of good medical care including successful hip surgery as a pup. Tigger has excellent crate manners—he finds comfort in his crate, sleeps through the night, and prefers his familiar fleece blankets over toys. Tigger has always lived with his littermate brother Tank, but the two do best in separate homes due to competition for attention. Around other dogs, Tigger is cooperative and polite, especially with gentle, calm female dogs; he’s dog-friendly, but not suited for a home with cats, small dogs, or small children due to a strong prey drive. He isn’t motivated by toys much—people and affection make him happiest, and he responds well to praise or treats during training (though he’s less food-driven than some). Tigger spends most days outdoors but enjoys coming inside to rest in his crate, especially in bad weather. He travels well and is comfortable at the vet, impressing the staff with his relaxed behavior. Tigger is described as observant, sensitive, and eager to please—a ā€œVelcro dogā€ who quickly forms bonds and craves human contact. He’ll need stability and some time to adjust after years with his current family, but he’s gentle, smart, and adaptable. His new home should be rock-solid, offering the security and comfort he truly deserves for his golden years. Let’s make sure he never faces another upheaval.
