I’m a 3 year old Border Collie/Lab mix, about 55 pounds, and I’m housebroken and crate trained—so I already know the “home life” basics. I came from a hoarding situation, and because of that, I’m still learning that humans can be kind, safe, and worth trusting. Right now, I’m a little scared—especially on a leash—so I’ll need a patient adopter who can help me build confidence one soft step at a time. I’m not the kind of dog who rushes into hugs and attention, but I will come closer for a tasty treat, and that’s my way of saying I’m trying. The good news is that I like other dogs, cats, and older kids, and I do best when I have calm friends around me. I also need a home with a fenced yard, because that’s where I feel safest while I learn how to be brave in the world.
