You can say I am one lucky pup to find my way to Rescue One! My name is Nolie, and I’m a 10-year-old, 60-pound Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix who is ready to find my forever person. When I first arrived at Rescue One, I was skin and bones, with very little hair and hardly any energy. But even then, I was sweet, loving, and gentle. With good food and lots of TLC, I’ve been feeling better and better. I’m so grateful for the second chance I’ve been given! I’m a pretty easygoing guy who attaches quickly to my people. My favorite place in the world is right beside you, whether that means lounging on the couch, relaxing at your feet, or tagging along wherever life takes us. I don’t need much to be happy, just a person to love and a place close by. I’m house, crate, and leash trained, patient with other animals, and would likely do well with sturdy kids or older children who understand that I don’t always realize how big I am. I’d fit into just about any home as long as I can be near my favorite people. I also have a special love for chewing on bones. In fact, I like them so much that I collect and stash them in my crate. A guy has to have his treasures! At my age, I’ve learned that the best things in life are the simple ones: a full belly, a cozy spot, a good bone, and someone who loves me.
