About Amelia
Amelia is the squishy, lovable Shar-Pei who’s always up for a cuddle and a belly rub. She started as a stray but has become a favorite wherever she goes. Amelia tried life with cats but decided she’s happiest as the only animal, so she’s looking for a cat-free home. In foster care, she proved to be a quiet presence and handled alone time well (though she may treat herself to unattended snacks). She’s housebroken, comfortable in a crate, and picks up new tricks with ease—she already knows ‘sit’ and ‘lay down’. She loves her squeaky toys, zooms around for playtime, and then relaxes into full-on couch potato mode. Volunteers love how eager she is to please and how she lights up when meeting people. Amelia enjoys doggy friends and has been social and playful in group settings. If you’re searching for a loyal, mellow companion who thrives on affection and prefers to skip the cats, Amelia might just be the one. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
