His sweet and sensitive personality shines, and while he requires a grain-free diet, he's completely recovered and looking for an indoor home where he can share his big heart.

About Champion

Champion came in on the brink, barely holding on at just 23 lbs, but after intensive daily care, he's transformed into a healthy, sturdy 62 lbs and is thriving. He's a sensitive guy who spends his days looking out for others—he instinctively comforted a senior dog in need, even offering up his favorite toy. Though he's had a tough past, Champion has bounced back with an open heart. He bonds deeply, loves to be with people, and relishes curling up on the couch for some honest conversation. Treats, cuddling, long walks, and car rides are his favorite things—he truly listens as if he understands every word. He gets along smoothly with kids, cats, and other dogs. His only requirement is a grain-free diet, but there's no special medication needed anymore. Champion would fit perfectly as an indoor family companion, and while he does fine alone for stretches, he'll do best with someone ready to make him part of their daily world.
