About Kink
Kink is a senior German Shorthaired Pointer and coonhound mix who landed in a packed shelter in California with nails so overgrown he couldn't stand, painfully thin and crawling with fleas, abandoned by the family supposedly listed on his microchip. He was set to be euthanized the same day. Now, with some real care, Kink is moving comfortably againāhe loves to canter around the pasture and explore the one-acre field at his foster home. A proper bath and a careful nail trim brightened his outlook fast. This old gent has proven endlessly patient and rock-solid, even during grooming. Kink gets along with every dog in his foster household, no matter their size or temperament. Heās interested in the goats and pony but never barks or chasesājust wags his tail constantly. Heās as gentle and genuine as they come. Due to a neglected old rear leg fracture, he isnāt built for demanding exercise, but he really enjoys meandering, gentle hikes. All his senior vet checks came back perfect. Heās fully house trained, goes to the door when he needs to go out, and sleeps through the night. Kink is relaxed in the car, walks politely on leash, and simply radiates goodwill. Thereās literally a kink in his tail, just as his name promises. Heās in foster care in Clatskanie, OR, waiting for a home that values a true friend. This dog is pure love. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
