About Miss Vicki
Miss Vicki is a small, 8-pound black and tan terrier mix who came into care after being found as a frightened stray in the Central Valley. Sheās only about a year old and already house trained, comfortable in a crate, and friendly toward other dogs regardless of their size. While Miss Vickiās adorable in photos, sheās still wary of new settings and unfamiliar peopleāher ideal home is quiet, stable, and has at least one calm, confident dog she can look to for reassurance. Her adopter should have experience supporting shy dogs and be prepared to offer patient, knowledgeable guidance. Homes with secure, excellent fencing are a must, since Miss Vickiās petite frame lets her slip through surprisingly tight gaps. Apartments, condos, and townhouses arenāt a fit for her needs. Despite her timid nature, she does have a fun-loving streakāshe enjoys hiking and dashing around open fields when she feels safe and supported. Miss Vicki is currently fostered in the Portland area. Her adoption fee is $200. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
