Tony is the definition of “rescue.” He and two siblings were found abandoned and starving in rural East Texas. Sadly, his two siblings did not survive, but Freedom Street Rescue stepped in to give Tony a fighting chance. Tony has proven to be quite a resilient guy! He has gone from an emaciated 12 pounds to a strong and healthy 40 pounds in just a few months. Tony is now ready to find his own loving, forever home with a family in the Northeast. Tony’s foster mom describes him as a typical happy pup who likes to run and play with the other pups in his foster home, but he LOVES to be with his foster mom most of all. Tony is friendly, curious, entertaining and affectionate and wants to follow his foster mom EVERYWHERE and help with all her chores from raking leaves to sorting laundry! When Tony gets tired out, he loves to rest beside his foster mom to get rubbed and petted, especially when it includes a belly rub! Tony’s foster mom thinks that Tony would do fine being the only dog in a home, as long as he gets lots of human interaction. Tony doesn’t look like any one breed of dog. He has a short white coat with black markings, a short stocky Bulldog style body with large paws, but his head looks like a Catahoula. His approximate date of birth is 5/1/2025, so he is around 9 months old. Tony currently weighs 40 lbs. His his final adult weight is only a guess, but Tony will most likely remain a medium sized dog. Tony is microchipped, neutered, up to date on shots, and crate trained. He is being fostered in Texas and will be transported to the Northeast upon adoption.
