About Luna
Luna is a six-year-old blue field English Setter with a gentle, deeply devoted personality. She lost her longtime home recently when her owners moved overseas, and now she’s looking for a new start. Luna bonds closely with her people, following them from room to room, and always welcomes them back with enthusiasm—even if they’ve only been gone a minute. She loves carrying and playing with plush toys, especially the squeaky ones, and is quick to bring you her favorite whenever you return. Luna has a shy, sensitive streak at first, often looking away until she warms up and feels secure. Once she settles in, her goofy and affectionate nature becomes obvious; she greets every morning with wags and wiggly excitement. Outdoors, Luna enjoys lounging in the grass, soaking up the sun, and investigating the breeze, happiest when a person is nearby. She loves walks and is learning to stroll on a loose leash, tuning in well to positive vibes and treat rewards. Luna takes her cues from the world around her and will alert her family when she hears someone approaching, though she’s not a fan of fireworks or loud commotion. Indoors, she expects full couch privileges and often wants to sleep close by, touching a paw to you for reassurance. She’s fully house-trained and will wait patiently at the door when she needs to go out. Well-mannered and eager to please, Luna knows her sit and stay, especially when snacks are involved. She rides calmly in the car but prefers her people close. Luna would thrive with someone home most of the day—she gets anxious when left alone and lights up with joy for every return. She meets other dogs politely on walks and does well with her brother, Bowie. Luna is best suited for a quieter environment, ideally without young kids, where she can continue being the graceful, loving center of attention. She is not suitable for hunting or field work.
