About Honey
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Honey Bee is a gentle soul who arrived at the rescue with her tiny three-week-old puppies in June 2024, having been discovered under a tool shed in a local business area. Despite their hardships, including being undernourished and covered in fleas and ticks, Honey and her little ones received hours of loving care from the staff and made an impressive recovery. Honey proved to be a caring mother and, after the pups were weaned, bravely underwent heartworm treatment and is now thriving. She is a sweet and well-mannered medium-sized Lab/Shepherd mix with a beautiful medium-length coat of yellow, tan, and black. Honey listens attentively, loves to run and play, and eagerly doles out kisses—though she's just as content to relax as your favorite couch companion. Her cheerful and affectionate personality will make her the perfect addition to any home. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Honey
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mixes generally thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and exercise. They are adaptable but do best in environments where they can be active with their family, whether that's a house with a yard or a spacious apartment with regular outdoor time.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A medium to large fenced yard is ideal for a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mix, though regular long walks and play sessions can meet their exercise needs. Daily outdoor activity helps keep them happy and balanced.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Both Labradors and Shepherds are known for their friendly and gentle nature, so their mixes are generally very suitable for homes with children when properly socialized.
