Cali is a 1.5-year-old spayed female German Shepherd mix with plenty of love and energy to give. She has a deeply affectionate and protective streak, enjoying cuddle time as much as high-energy play. Cali is up to date on vaccines and reported to be in good health. She’s outgoing, friendly with everyone she meets, and does great with young kids, making her a strong family candidate. Around other dogs, Cali does well as long as they aren’t aggressive—she’s especially gentle with smaller dogs. Her attitude toward cats hasn’t been tested. She’s house trained, sleeps indoors, and is accustomed to staying outside when her family is away. Cali is sharp and walks nicely on a leash, though she gets a bit enthusiastic when she sees other dogs—her pulling is friendly, not confrontational. Car rides are one of her favorite activities, and she settles quickly after some initial excitement. Cali is very playful, especially enjoys fetch, and loves her chew toys. Originally rehomed due to her prior owner’s apartment not being ideal for a large dog, she’s now searching for a new family after her current owner's child developed severe allergies.
