Riley is an energetic and affectionate 3.5-year-old German Shepherd living in South Sacramento. She’s always on high alert and full of curiosity, with a temperament that reminds you of classic, working-line shepherds—quick on her feet, loves to be involved, and smart enough to figure things out without much direction. Even though she’s lived most of her life outdoors in a kennel, she’s longing for more time with people. With socialization and the right match, she could live with another strong-minded dog, but she’s best suited as a solo pet or paired only with certain companions.
