I actually had a home before, so I remember what it feels like to have a favorite sunny window and a person to call my own. But life changed, and my family couldn't keep me anymore. Coming back to the shelter was a little scary and it’s made me a bit sad too. The people here at the shelter are wonderful and keep my belly full of wet food and give me lots of pets. I know I’m one of the lucky ones because I never had to survive the cold streets, but even with all the kindness here, a shelter just isn't a home. I want my real forever home! I’m a little older, which just means I’ve perfected the art of the snuggle! If you stop petting me too soon, I’ll give you a soft little meow to let you know I’m not done yet. I’ve still got a playful side, too!I'll never be too old for a mousey with nip! I get along well with other kitties and would probably to be a companion for your kitty as well as for you. Our fosters & volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to get them used to being pet and to show them no one will hurt them. However, when they go to a new home, some kitties will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months.
