Meet Gwen! Gwen is a five-year-old Pitty who came to us from local animal control and is now patiently waiting for her forever home. This big, beautiful girl weighs about 65 pounds and is nothing but sweet, gentle, and full of love. Gwen does great with other dogs and is wonderful with kids, making her an excellent family companion. She would prefer a home without cats, but she more than makes up for it with her easygoing personality. Gwen’s favorite pastime? Relaxing on the couch and soaking up all the love — she’s truly the perfect couch potato buddy. The NAWS Dog Adoption Program operates as rescue versus a shelter. We believe in matching the right dog with the appropriate family based on each specific dog and family’s needs. To achieve this, we believe in spending the appropriate amount of time with each family to allow for enough interaction time with potential adopters. This cannot be achieved if people stop by unexpectedly to meet our dogs.
