About Glacier
Meet Glacier A two-year-old pit bull with the kindest eyes and the softest soul. Glacier was found as a stray by one of our staff in truly heartbreaking condition — severely emaciated and clearly failed by the world around him. Despite everything he’s endured, he is slowly gaining both weight and trust, and his sweet personality is beginning to shine through. He currently weighs just under 50 pounds, but at a healthy weight he’ll likely be closer to 60+ pounds. He’s a big, beautiful, strong boy who is incredibly smart and already knows several commands. Glacier would do best as the only pet in the home — no dogs or cats — and with children over 10, simply due to his size and strength. He is very wary of men, so he’s looking for either a female-only home or a very patient man who understands that trust takes time, space, and consistency. This boy was treated wrong in his past, but he is nothing but gentle and loving. Glacier deserves a home that will make up for everything he’s been through — a home full of patience, kindness, and unconditional love. If you’re ready to give a truly special dog the life he deserves, Glacier is waiting. The NAWS Dog Adoption Program operates as rescue versus a shelter. We believe in matching the right dog with the appropriate family based on each specific dog and family’s needs. To achieve this, we believe in spending the appropriate amount of time with each family to allow for enough interaction time with potential adopters. This cannot be achieved if people stop by unexpectedly to meet our dogs. Please submit an application at www.NawsUS.org under the Pet Adoption tab to set up and day and time to meet with one of our adoption counselors and our potential adoptees. Thank you!
