Carebear is a short, sweet little lady who is still waiting for someone to say yes to her. After being safely trapped last week, she came into our care hopeful for a fresh start — but so far, heartbreakingly, not a single application has come in for her. Carebear isn’t flashy or demanding. She is gentle, quiet, and deeply loyal once she feels safe. She’s the kind of dog who will stay right by your side, content simply being near someone kind and steady. Her calm presence makes her easy to be around, and she carries a softness that quietly tugs at your heart. She is dog-friendly, though slow, calm introductions are best since she can be shy at first. In the home, Carebear is neat, well-mannered, and very quiet. She naturally sticks close to her person, making her a true shadow dog. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Carebear will thrive in a calm, patient home where she is given the time and space to decompress and feel secure. She doesn’t ask for much — just safety, consistency, and love. In return, she will offer a steady, devoted companionship that grows deeper every day. Carebear is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can finally exhale and begin the life she deserves. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
