About Nome

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Meet Nome, an 11-month-old Siberian Husky who, after a tough start as a stray, is now eager to find the forever home he deserves. Still very much a big puppy, Nome is bursting with curiosity and joy—his tall, lanky frame is perfectly matched by his playful, goofy spirit and the longest tail you've ever seen. Nome thrives on interaction and loves making every day exciting with his silly antics. He will need a patient and loving family prepared to offer gentle guidance as he learns the ropes. Nome is known for occasionally sneaking counter snacks or chewing things he shouldn’t, but his eagerness to please makes him easy to redirect with positive reinforcement. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with canine companions and an active, outdoor lifestyle. Nome is crate trained, mostly housetrained, strong on a leash, and absolutely loves his walks. A fenced yard is a must for this energetic pup, and he would do best with people who aren't away for long workdays. If you’re seeking extra fun, consider adopting his rescue buddy Freya along with him! Nome is looking for a Husky-savvy family ready to embrace both the adventure and affection that come with this breed. He is currently fostered in Maryland, with adoptions available throughout the surrounding region. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
