About Snow

Click apply to start the adoption process. After seven loyal years, Snow was surrendered to the shelter when his family had a baby and didn’t want to manage his emotions, leaving him confused and heartbroken. When he first arrived in rescue, it was clear he had endured deep grief—he even tried to return to the door where his former family had left, hoping they’d come back for him. His teeth gave away hints of this anxiety, as years spent chewing on hard surfaces led to painful dental issues that have now been treated, and he’s healing beautifully. Rescued on a mission to save other dogs, Snow instantly captured hearts. In foster care, he’s blossomed into an ideal companion: fully housebroken, moderate energy, easy to walk on leash, and very dog-friendly—especially with medium to large companions. He’s also sweet and gentle with older children (over 5), and shows no signs of resource guarding or fear. Snow doesn’t enjoy being crated, but he’s proven he doesn’t need one—he prefers to nap on the couch or in the yard. He loves canine friends, dry food meals, and all the comforts of a loving home. The perfect family for Snow will have a securely fenced yard, another dog buddy (or a few!), and welcome him to free roam inside. He enjoys access to soft spots for sleeping—like beds and sofas—and a steady supply of affection. Snow’s only wish is for a family who will treasure him and show him forever truly means forever. He is currently fostered in Maryland, and his rescue’s foster-based model helps each dog settle into family life while educating adopters. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
