About Stitch

Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet baby Stitch, an 8-month-old husky (possibly with a touch of Shiba Inu) whose playful spirit and boundless curiosity are as irresistible as his puppy-soft coat. Rescued after being found wandering the streets of North Carolina, Stitch is now thriving in foster care and looking for a loving family to call his own. His sweet, affectionate nature shines through every puppy bounce, and he adores nothing more than playtime—especially if there are other young, energetic dogs to wrestle and romp with. Still very much a puppy, Stitch is in that mouthy, nippy phase, so he'll benefit from a patient guardian ready to guide him with consistency and loving boundaries. For this reason, a home without small children is best. Stitch’s ideal family will understand the typical needs of a husky pup: lots of exercise, a securely fenced yard, and plenty of attention and love. With gentle guidance and a playful canine companion, Stitch will blossom into the loyal, adventurous friend every dog lover dreams of. He is currently being fostered in North Carolina but can be transported to an approved adopter throughout much of the East Coast and neighboring states. The Husky Education And Rescue Team helps ensure each of their foster pups, like Stitch, finds the perfect home with the necessary support and insight. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Stitch

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Siberian Husky/Shiba Inu mixes typically do best in environments where they have plenty of space to move and opportunities for regular activity. A home with a fenced yard is ideal for their energy and curiosity.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

This mix requires ample outdoor space for exercise and play, especially because both Siberian Huskies and Shiba Inus are active, intelligent breeds. Regular outdoor outings are important for mental and physical stimulation.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

With proper socialization and supervision, Siberian Husky/Shiba Inu mixes can be suitable for families with older children. Because of their energetic and sometimes mouthy puppy behavior, younger children may find them overwhelming.
