About Folly
Folly is a just-under-two-year-old female Great Pyrenees who appears to have missed the memo about being a calm, dignified mountain sentinel. Instead, she has chosen happiness and relentless play. She is fantastic with other dogs and is very much a dog's dog. Running, wrestling, chasing, repeat. If there is another dog in the yard, Folly is thrilled. If there are several dogs, she is in heaven. A securely fenced yard is non negotiable because this girl needs space to burn energy and live her best play life. She is not relentless with the running, but she needs a good two very serious play sessions a day. Between sessions, she is a lazy Pyrenees. Cats are met with mild curiosity and a shrug. Kids should be over 10, mostly because Folly plays like a linebacker who does not know her own size. With new people, Folly can be a little shy at first. She is not dramatic about it, just cautious. Give her a few minutes and she warms up quickly and is happy to accept attention, praise, and inclusion in whatever is going on. Snacks accelerate this process. Folly would do best in a home that appreciates an active Pyrenees who wants to do things rather than lounge on the porch judging the neighborhood. She is sweet, goofy, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining once she settles in. She has impeccable house manners and is a generally well-behaved girl.
