About Bear
Bear is a small mixed-breed dog, mostly Miniature Pinscher with a bit of Chihuahua, which keeps him petite compared to the min pin standard. He came into rescue with littermates after his previous ownerāa breederācouldnāt keep them, and has already been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and checked for heartworm (heās negative, and on prevention). Bearās tail was docked by his breeder before arriving at the rescue. He needs a securely fenced yard, as he isnāt leash trained and potty breaks should be in a private, safe spaceāno doggie doors, as those wonāt work for him. Bear isnāt house trained yet, but he does get along nicely with other dogs. Vet references and consistent heartworm prevention are required to adopt, and if you live out of the area, youāll need to come meet him in person. He needs a home ready to provide firm boundaries and patience while he learns the ropes. Your new best friend is just one click away.

Questions about Bear
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Bear, with his Miniature Pinscher and Chihuahua mix background, generally does best in homes with a secure yard and attentive owners. Compact dwellings or apartments work if exercise needs are met and outdoor space is secure.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Given Bear's energetic mix, a small, safely fenced yard is ideal for regular potty breaks and playtime. He does not require a large yard but needs a secure outdoor area, since heās not leash trained.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mixes like Bear can adapt to families with older, respectful children who understand small dog boundaries. Their small size means younger kids should always be supervised.
