About Trooper
Your new best friend is just one click away. Meet Trooper, a stunning Golden Retriever who could be mistaken for a friendly polar bear! At 4 years old and 100 pounds, Trooper is a bundle of love in a big, fluffy package. Since arriving from a shelter, Trooper has thrived in his foster home and is exceptionally loyal to his foster mom. He handles being left alone with ease and has blossomed with the help of a trainer—walking calmly on leash, though his impressive size means you'll need to stay attentive! Trooper has a prey drive, so he needs a home without cats or other small animals. This gentle giant is best as the only dog in the house; his affectionate nature will easily fill your home. He’s happiest in calm surroundings and would shine in a quiet, adult-only home with few visitors. Trooper takes some time to trust new people, but once he bonds, you'll have a devoted companion for life. Picture peaceful days spent walking together, followed by cozy evenings lounging side by side. Trooper is searching for a safe, loving home where he can relax, have daily adventures, and finally rest easy knowing he belongs. Trooper is available through Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue, which supports adoptions only within specific Southern California counties to allow for their thorough pre- and post-adoption process.
