About Noah
Noah has been through more than his share of hardship. This large buff and white British Shorthair once must have known the comforts of being an indoor cat—you could find him pawing at the windows of people's homes outside Dayton, looking in with hope. For a while, the townspeople put food out, assuming he belonged to someone, but Noah was on his own. One day, his luck ran out. Two unleashed dogs set on Noah in a fenced yard, and a neighbor only just managed to intervene in time. He survived the attack, barely, and spent a long, uncertain recovery at the vet. It was then they learned Noah is FIV positive—a condition that weakens his immune system. While FIV itself isn’t easy to transmit and he can still live a rich, happy life, he’s more vulnerable to illnesses other cats would shrug off. He needs yearly vet visits and a calm, low-stress home. A place with few or no other cats is best, as is an adopter willing to be mindful of his needs. Noah gets along well with other cats and children, and still seeks out affection and warmth from people. He’s gentle, quietly playful, and has a steady, resilient heart. After so much uncertainty, he simply deserves peace and kindness, and someone steady who will not overlook him just because of a medical label. This sweet boy is ready to start fresh, if he finds the right person ready to give him that chance. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
