Lily
AvailableLily is a young female British Shorthair and Domestic Short Hair mix with a medium build and a short coat patterned in brown and gray tabby. About Lily
Lily’s story starts with resilience. She was abandoned at a Columbus apartment complex as a kitten and left to face winter alone. Struggling to survive, she kept to herself, dodging dangers and scraping by until a kind neighbor started feeding and watching over her. Even as a kitten, Lily had to hide from dogs and wildlife, never knowing a safe place to rest. By the time spring arrived, Lily—still very young—was pregnant and gave birth in a shed near the apartments, caring for her kittens against all odds. When her trusted neighbor realized Lily had no home, she connected Lily and her kittens with a foster parent. In her foster home, Lily slowly began to relax. She’s gentle, quiet, and learns a little more every day about letting down her guard. Lily needs a patient person ready to let her blossom and finally be cared for and cherished. She gets along with other cats and children, but might take time to open up in new situations. All pets are fostered in volunteer homes around Columbus, and home visits are done locally prior to adoption. Ready for a fresh start, Lily is looking for someone who will never leave her behind again. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
