Please meet Rex! This very affectionate, loving young fellow is waiting to hang his leash in his forever home. Rex is 1 year old and weighs in at 43 pounds. His breed mix is a guess. We think he is a hound/pit mix, possibly with some lab in him We'll call him a "Heinz 57" pup...the best kind. Whatever his mix, this super sweet, handsome pup will become your Velco dog. His loyalty will melt your heart! Rex is house trained, leash trained, kennel trained and rides well in the car. He adores his foster mom and loves to lay his head on her lap. He is smart, learns quickly and knows several basic commands. Balls, Nylabones, baby carrots and frozen blueberries are some of this darling pup's favorite things. Rex gets along with the other dogs in his foster home, He would be happiest with a canine buddy in his home, but also would do fine as the only dog as long as he can be close to his people. He pays no attention to the resident cat. There are no children in Rex's foster home, but with his sweet nature, we believe he'd be great with kids old enough to behave respectfully around a young dog. Rex is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date with his vaccinations. His doggy bag is packed and he's ready to head for a family looking for a cuddly lover boy..
