This handsome boy was abandoned when he was very young. Why would anyone leave a helpless puppy to fend for himself?? Thankfully, Niko wandered up to the home of his rescue angel who took him in and has been giving him plenty of TLC while getting him ready to hang his leash in his forever home. Niko is now about 1 year old and weighs in at around 45-50 pounds....every ounce filled with sweetness! His breed is a best guess, but we think he's a hound mix and will likely be in the 55-60 pound range at full growth. Don't you love that face - and those ears? Niko has done well with his house and crate training and he's working on leash training. This smart, people-pleasing pup will give his all to follow your lead and become the best dog he can be. He gets along great with other dogs, but has not been introduced to cats. There are no children in his foster home; however, with his sweet, happy nature, we think he'd be a fine addition to a family with kids above toddler age. Niko is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. He's ready and waiting to bring smiles and joy to his forever home.
