Estimated birth: April 2024 Kobe is so sweet. He was rescued from neglect and is steadily gaining weight, now at his ideal size. Though listed as a hound, he retrieves balls eagerly—perhaps hinting at some Whippet or Greyhound in his mix. Because of this, Kobe should always be contained with your leash, or in a secure fenced yard because he will be gone in a flash if he sees a squirrel or other woodland creature. He can be mouthy with play, so younger children would need to be mindful of this. We recommend Kobe to go to children that are not toddlers or younger grade school. At around 44 pounds, Kobe is sweet, sensitive, and walks well on leash. He enjoys other dogs, walks, and chewing bones, and is clearly relieved to be in a better environment. He is shy when meeting people who do not take their time with him and will back off, but patience pays off and he will be your best buddy in just 10 minutes when he realizes it's okay. He would do best in a calm, home with another respectful dog and either a yard or daily walks. In his foster home's fenced yard, he's impressively fast and playful. Kobe has moderate energy and is quiet except when playing. Although because of his short coat, Kobe doesn't need a bath often, but when he gets one, he thoroughly enjoys it. Kobe uses a no pull harness on his walks. He gets along well with dogs during his walks with slow introductions. He recently traveled to Maine with pilots and four children who adored him.
