We don’t know much about Mr. Wexler’s back story, but from the scar on his head and tipped tail, it’s likely he’s had a tough time. All he wants in life is a good meal, a bowl of clean water, and to cuddle up with his person. If his person isn’t available he will try to cuddle up with a dog friend. About calling him to you… the Mister is important. If you shout Wexler you just don’t catch his attention as quickly as you can by just saying Mister. Who knew this lovable goober was so posh and formal? Mr. Wexler is very food motivated. If he even has an inkling that you are holding treats, he sits right down without having to be asked to do so. We are not sure who trained him to do this, but it is clear that he applies his lessons to everyday life. He is accustomed to a nighttime-only feeding schedule and a consistent routine. For instance, going outside for potty time right after he eats his dinner. Wexler thrives on a schedule. He loves kids, but his exuberance to greet them is a bit much for the little ones so he needs to go to a family with kids over 12. If you are a single adult who appreciates affection, Mr. Wexler is your man. He loves nothing more than to sleep with his head in your lap or sit next to you with his head on your shoulder. Just as no human is perfect, no dog is either. While Mr. Wexler is a very very sweet and loving boy, there is one major exception- cats. He really really dislikes cats. He really really hates them. He can be in a home with one other dog, but he cannot be in a home with a cat. A large pack is not a good idea, but he does love a doggie playmate. Pictures just don’t do this pretty boy justice. He can give the softest most innocent looks. Be careful because if he throws one your way, you are gonna be hit by Cupid’s arrow. This lovable goober loves BIG and he needs a furever home that will love him big too! If you love a dog that just wants to be near you, to rest his head on your shoulder or lap, Mr. Wexler is the pup for you!
