Blake is a young, medium-sized mixed breed Bulldog who is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is house trained and currently being cared for at Mostly Mutts. Blake would benefit from a slow feeder bowl at mealtimes to prevent tummy aches. His playful and affectionate personality is matched with a need for an active and understanding family.

About Blake

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Blake, also affectionately known as Churro, is a handsome young mixed-breed Bulldog with a fun-loving spirit and so much love to give. Rescued from animal control and briefly adopted, Blake is now back with Mostly Mutts due to unforeseen family circumstances, and he’s currently thriving in a foster home. He’s about two years old and roughly 51 pounds—full of playful energy and always up for a game of tug, chew toys, or an outdoor adventure. Blake loves the company of other dogs his size or larger, especially those who enjoy a bit of rough-and-tumble play, but he’s still learning boundaries and would do best with a furry sibling who shares his zest for fun. Though he hasn’t lived with kids, Blake’s playful mouthing means older children would suit him best. Naturally timid around new things, Blake is attentive, sweet, and eager to gain the trust of his people. He’s showing lots of progress in his foster home, thriving with stable routines, positive training, and gentle encouragement. He knows several commands, has solid door and food manners, and enjoys showing off his skills! Potty training is coming along and he signals when he needs to go out, but with all the excitement he sometimes forgets. Blake relaxes quietly in his crate at home and even goes to work with his foster, doing well as long as he’s not left alone too long. On walks, he’s curious and working on his leash skills. For optimum health, Blake benefits from using a slow feeder bowl since he eats enthusiastically and can upset his tummy. Sudden noises, crowds, and strange objects like bikes can make him nervous, but he’s bravely learning that the world isn’t so scary after all, especially when he’s out and about in quieter public places with his foster. Ultimately, Blake’s greatest wish is for an active, patient, and loving home where his affectionate personality will truly shine. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
