About Frisco

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Frisco is a 16-week-old, 6-pound Chiweenie/Wirehaired Terrier mix who stands out with his unique looks and endearing personality. Rescued from a difficult situation along with his family, Frisco is now ready for his forever home. He is incredibly sweet and does wonderfully with other dogs. Because he is still not fully vaccinated against parvo, apartments are not suitable at this time. Fosters or adopters must live in the Dallas Metroplex or surrounding areas. A home trial of one week is available before finalizing adoption, and there are special requirements for Frisco’s new family: no large dogs, no children under seven years old, and he must have another small, playful dog in the home to help with socialization and avoid separation anxiety. (Sibling adoptions are not permitted due to concerns about littermate syndrome.) Let Frisco’s next chapter be his best one yet.

Questions about Frisco

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Chiweenie/Wirehaired Terrier mixes thrive in loving homes with plenty of attention and mental stimulation. They do best in environments where they can be part of the family and have opportunities for indoor and outdoor play.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

These small dogs don’t require a large yard, but they enjoy regular outdoor walks and playtime. A small fenced yard or frequent trips outside are ideal for their activity needs.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Chiweenie/Wirehaired Terrier mixes can be good with older, respectful children, but their small size means they may not be suitable for homes with very young kids. Supervision and proper introductions are important.
