Saxon enjoys cuddling, giving kisses, and trailing after his favorite people. Get him excited enough and he’ll give you his signature helicopter tail wag. He’s crazy about plush toys—his teddy bear and elephant rarely leave his side—and while he likes chasing after balls, he’d rather keep them than play a proper game of fetch. Resource guarding is a work in progress for him; he gets a bit possessive of toys and people, but with patience (and treats), he redirects well. Saxon gets along well with similar-sized, calm dogs and coexists peacefully; he isn’t looking for playmates so much as a quiet buddy who respects boundaries. House-trained and more of a steady companion than an action hero, Saxon prefers strolls and rolling in the grass over roughhousing. His ideal home is calm and adult-only, with adopters who are dog-savvy and committed to continuing his training—sessions with his trainer are required.
