About Thor
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Thor, affectionately known as Big Handsome or Bubba, is 120 pounds of pure love and ready to make your home his forever home. After facing a medical journey that included two successful knee surgeries, Thor has bounced back and is thriving, though he does best avoiding too much time on cement and refraining from strenuous exercise. Another special consideration for Thor is his environmental allergies, which require ongoing management and daily medication, ensuring he stays comfortable and happy. With a giant heart to match his size, Thor delights in life’s simple pleasures—delicious food, scenic car rides, meeting new people, leisurely walks, belly rubs, and regular brushing. However, he isn’t a fan of fireworks, water, or confined stairways. Thor loves playing and socializing with dogs of all sizes, though he may not always realize his own strength—he appreciates a gentle guiding hand in high-energy moments. He’s best suited for a home without cats, as his enthusiasm can be a bit overwhelming for feline friends. Thor has shown himself to be house trained and is looking for a committed family who will keep him as an indoor companion. Last Hope asks that adopters have a history of responsible pet ownership, including keeping animals altered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
