About Greta

Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Greta! Greta is a beautiful Labrador Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix who is around 4-5 years old and weighs about 80 pounds. Despite her large size, Greta's a true love bug who cherishes pets and attention from people she trusts. You’ll find her gentle and affectionate once she gets to know you! Greta thrives in the company of other large, playful male dogs and would do well in a home with a confident canine companion. However, she prefers not to be around small dogs and is selective with female dogs. She’s also shy around cats, so a home with a dog-savvy cat (or no cats) would be best, and she would do best in a home without children, as she can be nervous with unpredictable movements. Greta is still learning about the world and does best with patience and kindness—she’s a willing learner and eager to please! Greta would love a forever home where she can be the loyal and cuddly companion she was meant to be. Her adoption fee covers her spay, microchip, vaccinations, prevention, and a basic obedience training course. All of Greta's care is currently provided by Last Hope Animal Rescue, Inc. Adopters are required to keep pets as indoor-only and maintain a responsible pet care history. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Greta

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Labrador Retriever/Great Pyrenees mixes are best suited for homes with ample space and a securely fenced yard, ideally in a suburban or rural setting. They enjoy spending time indoors with their family but also require space to roam and play.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

This mix is a large, active breed that benefits from a large, securely fenced yard or access to open spaces for exercise and mental stimulation. Regular walks and playtime are also essential.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

While Labradors are known for their family-friendly nature, Great Pyrenees can be more reserved. Supervised interactions and gentle children are recommended, and children should be taught to respect a dog's boundaries.
