About Pumpkin
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Pumpkin and Ginger, an inseparable pair of Shih Tzu sisters hoping to find a loving forever home together. At 9 and 8 years old, these petite seniors, each tipping the scales at just 10 pounds, have blossomed in foster care after their previous owners had to make the difficult decision to part ways. Pumpkin is the sassy black- coated sister, while Ginger's pewter fur gives her a regal air. Both are affectionate and enjoy basking in the sunshine, cuddling on cozy beds, and soaking up lap time with their favorite people. Pumpkin and Ginger have chronic skin and ear concerns, common to Shih Tzus, and need continued weekly medicated baths, topical sprays, occasional ear care, and regular grooming. Their well-being relies on a consistent, chicken-free diet featuring fish-based kibble and wholesome add-ins like veggies, beef, yogurt, and supplements. Ginger approaches her care calmly, and Pumpkin brings a spark of sass, but both adore gentle treatment, naps together, and knowing they’re safe. The sisters are mostly housebroken, crate-trained, travel nicely in the car, and can be trusted at home alone. They get along with other calm dogs, ignore cats, and respond best to a quiet, patient household with a steady routine and minimal stairs. Due to their size and special needs, households with young children or boisterous dogs aren’t the best fit. Their endearing underbites and tiny tongues peeking out make them especially lovable companions. Pumpkin and Ginger are looking for a home where their unique personalities and extra care are met with understanding and devotion. If you’ve been searching for two devoted, gentle friends to pamper and cherish, Pumpkin and Ginger can’t wait to meet you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
