About Bonita
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Introducing Bonita, a beautiful small dog who knows she's special! Bonita was discovered as a stray and has blossomed in the care of a loving foster family. Though her past is a mystery, it's clear she's been a mama before. After finding safety, she’s now healthy, spayed, microchipped, and thriving at Hazel's House Rescue. Bonita is estimated to be around four years old and weighs just over 13 pounds. She’s thought to be a Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier mix with a short, low-maintenance coat. Once Bonita trusts you, her warmhearted and affectionate side comes to life—she adores people, especially children, and is happiest when cuddling under blankets with her family. Her fun-loving spirit shines through as she plays with toys, enjoys zoomies, and gets along with dogs of all sizes at daycare. Her best friend is another foster dog, and she especially thrives around other active pups, though her lively style can be too much for very calm or older dogs. Bonita is a social butterfly: friendly with playful dogs, comfortable with cats, and wonderful with respectful kids. She would be happiest in a home with a securely fenced yard and another playful canine companion. One important note—Bonita is a talented escape artist. She is quick, clever, and always watching for an open door or gap. Her new family must be attentive about using a secure leash and harness and ensuring the fence is dog-proof. Despite her clever streak, Bonita is a loving, loyal dog who is all smiles and tail wags when she hears her name. She’s waiting for a forever family who will cherish her affectionate nature, keep her safe, and offer her the loving home she eagerly deserves. Adoption is the new adventure! Ready to roll?
