About Jade
Jade is a 5-year-old female Rottweiler who came from a tough start and is now soaking up attention in her foster home in Augusta, GA. She grew up with a backyard breeder, then was cared for by a kind man, and now lives with two other large breed dogs. Integrating wasn't easy, but she's adapted well in her crate when her foster dad works long hours. Jade is affectionate and actually believes she’s a lap dog, despite her 75 pounds. She’s strong-willed, eager for attention, and can get overly excited, but she already knows some basic commands like sit and down. Wait and stay will still require patience and continued training. Jade needs an active family willing to walk and play with her frequently. She thrives on company and cuddles, often trying to snuggle right up. While she’s good with respectful older kids, her boisterous energy means she’ll do best in a home with children over 12. Jade is on the dominant side with other dogs and should either be the only pet or maybe live with a very mellow, playful dog—meet and greets are a must. A fenced-in, preferably private yard is non-negotiable; she’s not suited for life without secure boundaries. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
