About Jake
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Jake is truly a shelter favorite, and everyone who meets him falls in love with this incredible dog. When Jake first arrived, he was in rough shape—emaciated and suffering from sores likely caused by being kept in an area far too small for him. Despite his difficult beginnings, Jake has made outstanding progress, blossoming into a relaxed and social companion. He now enjoys lounging for naps, participating in playgroups, and is a major food lover—a trait that's not surprising given his past. Jake loves attention and is becoming less anxious every day, making him a wonderful and loyal companion. He is currently being treated for heartworm and will be ready for a loving household that can provide all the care and affection he deserves. This special boy is eager for a forever family who will ensure he’s safe, healthy, and cherished. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Jake
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Pit Bull Terrier and Labrador Retriever mixes thrive in homes where they can be part of the family. They do well in houses with a yard but can also adapt to apartment living if exercised regularly and given enough mental stimulation.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
This mix enjoys having room to play and exercise, so a fenced yard or access to a park is ideal. However, their need for outdoor space can be met with daily walks and playtime even if you don’t have a large yard.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Pit Bull and Labrador mixes are usually great with children, being affectionate and sturdy companions. Supervision is always recommended, especially with young kids, but they generally make excellent family pets.
