Marlin is a three-year-old male pit shepherd mix. His striking white coat is punctuated by a black patch over one eye and a distinct black ear, along with a charmingly pink freckled nose. Known for his wide, happy grin, Marlin greets people with warmth, though he prefers introductions on his own terms. He arrived as an owner surrender alongside his son, Nemo, but Marlin can thrive independently. While he's friendly and eager to bond, he's building his confidence and appreciates patience. He already knows 'sit' and is highly treat motivated, making training straightforward. Keeping treats handy during the initial adjustment will nurture his trust quickly. Marlin is very dog friendly and would thrive in a home with another canine companion. While he hasn't been tested with children, introductions should be gradual to ensure comfort. Cats are unfamiliar to him, so slow introductions are advised there as well. He thrives with steady, kind individuals, a dog buddy if available, and a pocket full of treats.
