Chevy, also known as Puddles, is a goofy and clever one-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog/Shar-Pei mix living in Saunderstown, RI. He’s earned quite a reputation in his foster home for being both sweet and a bit quirky. Chevy can be wary of strangers and needs a few calm introductions before feeling at ease. He’s loyal once he bonds, but new faces set off his defensive side; he’ll bark or growl, especially in busy or unfamiliar settings. For Chevy, a home with low foot traffic and a secure fenced yard is best—it gives him space and time to learn to trust. He gets along well with other dogs but can be possessive over toys from time to time. Although Chevy currently lives with children and a baby, his behavior is better matched to an adult-only, experienced adopter who understands dogs needing some extra patience.
