Sandy is a resilient soul who has come a long way from her rough beginnings. After spending her first 18 months in an apartment while her owners struggled with addiction, she was neglected and found herself at a shelter. There, she was spayed and received care for her bulging eye, which has since been identified as at risk for glaucoma. She needs daily eye medications, with one prescribed from a pharmacy in New Jersey and the other available locally. Despite her challenges, Sandy has a lively spirit. She's playful and loves games with other dogs, especially her current companion, Zeno. With a bit of puppy-like enthusiasm, she enjoys their playful chases and wrestling antics. She’ll need an experienced adopter who understands the needs of a Bouvier or other working breeds. It's important that her new family can commit to her ongoing eye care. While she might not be the best fit for households with very young children, she shows potential to bond well with older kids. Sandy walks beautifully on a leash.
