About Buddy
Buddy, formerly known as Fozzy, is looking for a fresh start after being adopted out three years ago. This big, easygoing pittie mix thrives in a calm, quiet suburban neighborhood—bonus points if there’s a cozy couch for him to sprawl on during his favorite nap times. Buddy is happiest as the only dog in the home; his energy and temperament no longer jive with living with or meeting other dogs, but he lights up around people and bonds quickly with his humans. Kids 10 or older suit him best since unpredictable noises can startle him. Buddy is house trained, has no separation anxiety, and falls somewhere in the middle energy-wise—he’s both a mellow work-from-home companion and a reliable walking buddy. No cats, please; he finds them far too exciting to chase. Short-haired and striking in his red and white coat, Buddy is gentle with treats, treat- and praise-motivated, and always eager to please. He’s an old soul who rides nicely in the car and enjoys adventures to new places but fundamentally wants to be someone’s loyal homebody.
