About George
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! George is a gorgeous 7-year-old red long-haired purebred Dachshund with a special heart. He is bonded with his lovely 10-year-old sister, Gracie, a charming Chihuahua/Poodle mix. The two are inseparable, and are looking for a home together where they can continue bringing each other joy. George is a sweet, loving boy who still has a puppy's playful spirit, especially when he gets the zoomies and races after Gracie in the yard. After playtime, he is completely content to relax, snuggle, and enjoy being petted throughout the day. George and Gracie both have a bark that will make their presence known, especially when they're together, so a home with a yard is the best fit for these two. They will thrive in a tranquil environment with no other pets or children to ensure their bond remains undisturbed. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about George
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Dachshunds are happiest in homes where they receive plenty of attention and moderate exercise. They do well in houses with a secure yard or in apartments with daily walks, but always need a safe space to play and relax.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Dachshunds don't require vast spaces but appreciate a secure backyard where they can explore and play. Daily walks or short play sessions are excellent for their health and happiness.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Dachshunds can be suitable for families with older, respectful children, but their small size and sometimes sensitive nature mean supervision is always recommended. Homes with very young kids may not be an ideal match.
