About Hershey
Hershey escaped a high-kill shelter with only hours to spare and is making the most of his second chance. This small, sturdy mix of Dachshund and Chihuahua is now working with a trainer, soaking up new routines, and learning what it means to simply enjoy life. Hershey has a real passion for chasing tennis balls and thrives on daily energetic walks. He can be slow to let his guard down, but once he trusts you, Hershey’s loyalty is unwavering—you’ll find his short legs right behind you no matter where you go. He’s looking for someone who understands where he’s been and will give him the patience to settle in. Hershey gets along with other dogs, but doesn’t do well with cats. He still needs to learn house training, but he’s ready for the right person to help him finish his comeback story. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
