About Gilly
Gilly is a big-hearted, affectionate, and playful Great Pyrenees mix looking for her perfect home in Ithaca, NY. She adores people and thrives on close companionshipâexpect her to snuggle up in bed, gently rest her head on your chest, and hand out loving morning kisses. Gilly is known for her soft fur, patient demeanor during muddy days, and impeccable manners; she never begs and takes treats so gently you might not notice. While sheâs well-trained and reliably house trained, she enjoys learning new things and is responsive and eager to please. Gilly completed a board and train course, knows several commands, and walks well on a leash, though she does get excited on her first outing to a new place. Gilly prefers a home where sheâs the only dog. She cannot live with female dogs and isnât a match for dog parks, but sheâs polite around people and unfazed by strollers or bikes on walks. She gets along well with children ages 8 and up; due to her size and enthusiasm, sheâs best with older kids. Gilly loves daily leashed walks, lounging by your side, gazing out the window, and playful momentsâespecially tug of war. Sheâs quiet, only barking at the door or in response to other dogs nearby, and never destructive in the home. Sheâs spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and healthy. A fenced yard is a big plus, but not required, provided youâre committed to plenty of walks. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
