About Spud
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Spud is currently in the loving care of Jeggs Rehab Rescue, who will be guiding his adoption journey. Spud may be 10 years old, but don’t let his age fool you—he is a sweet, goofy, and active senior who loves life! This large, charming mix of Great Pyrenees, Bulldog, and Hound weighs in at around 66 pounds. While he may be a bit shy upon first meeting new people, once he lets you in, you’ll find a loyal and affectionate companion. Spud enjoys playtime and can surprise you with bursts of energy throughout the day, whether he’s trotting on walks or happily playing with his collection of toys. He especially loves when his people join in on the fun. If you’re looking for a snuggler, Spud makes himself comfortable just about anywhere and treasures being close to his humans, whether that’s on the sofa, at your feet, or curled up in a cozy bed. Belly rubs and pets are at the top of his wish list! Having faced some tough times in his life, Spud comes with a bit of fear and anxiety, so he’s searching for a patient, loving home where he can finally feel secure. Questions about Spud
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Mixes of Great Pyrenees, Bulldog, and Hound, like this dog, do best in a calm and secure environment with enough space to relax and play. They appreciate a quiet home and benefit from a predictable routine, especially as seniors.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
This mix enjoys having access to a securely fenced yard for play and fresh air. Regular walks are important, but they don’t necessarily need a massive yard as long as they receive daily exercise.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Great Pyrenees and Bulldog mixes can be gentle and patient, but seniors and dogs with shy or anxious tendencies may prefer adult homes or older children who understand respectful boundaries.
