About Emmy
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Emmy is an adventurous and spirited husky mix who absolutely adores the great outdoors! She is eight years old, female, spayed, and weighs about 47 pounds. Emmy is eager to find a loving, active person or family who will cherish her company and provide her with exciting walks, nature explorations, and plenty of affection. Her playful personality shines through as she bonds deeply with her favorite person and delights everyone with her goofy antics—her signature move, "The Slide," shows off her cheerful spirit! Emmy is wonderfully smart and learns commands quickly, especially with treats as motivation. She is both crate and house trained, knows basic commands, and is working hard on leash manners and polite doorway greetings. While she may appear a little reserved with new people at first, her trust leads to joyful affection and doggy hugs! She is vocal and expressive (as many huskies are), using her voice to communicate excitement, needs, and reminders of her presence. Emmy thrives in homes with adults or older children (6+), although her happiness-jumping means she might not be ideal for fragile or very small kids. She does very well with other dogs—though a slow introduction is best—and is a star at daycare and in playgroups. However, Emmy should not be placed with cats due to prey drive. She loves long walks, fenced yard zoomies, belly rubs, and treat-filled toys. Her vaccines are up to date, and she is healthy and ready for her next chapter. If you’re searching for a loyal, fun-loving, and affectionate companion, Emmy is ready to share her joyful heart! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
